I finished off the audio book for Dirk, gently Holistic Detective, and it had been some time since I listened to the first half of the audio book, which meant that the second half made little sense. Although, after consulting with chat GPT, it turns out that the second half or the ending of the book doesn't really make any sense anyway, so it wasn't really me that was out of line, still a joyous exploration, and who wouldn't want to spend time with Douglas Adams, especially in this audible audio book version where Adams reads the book himself, while not a perfect reader as the later reader, The Hobbit guy who did the Hitchhiker's Guide, Martin something he did fantastic reading of all the books. And sure he's a Hollywood actor, and he does all the voices, but still to hear the original voice, the original heart, the man himself, Douglas Adams, reading Dirk Gently was just a real treat. So I would definitely do that again, even though I didn't quite follow the part at the end with the ghost and the time travel and then the box and the magic and the rooms and the man who lived forever. But I enjoyed it. I didn't, I don't know what happened, but I enjoyed spending time with Douglas Adams and watching it happen again. Not as good as Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but Dirk Gently, has his own kind of appeal, and they did make that TV show that one time. Maybe they'll make more. Check it out on Audible. I listened to this version. I've read it previously, and I've paid more attention in the past. Thank you.
