I really enjoyed Yes man, the book that the film was based on. I didn't even know it was a memoir until the end of the book, similar to the movie, Danny has a boring life. Then he agrees to say yes, and he goes out and starts saying yes to things. Obviously it's not as encapsulated and as tight as the movie. Certain elements are taken out of the film and enlarged, other elements left behind. And of course, they changed the location from London to Los Angeles, just like with high fidelity, where the film moved from the UK to the United States. But still recognizable are all the fun beats of yes man and all the joy of saying yes to the universe rather than saying no. I definitely enjoy checking it out and suggest you do as well. Yes man was an excellent read. Say yes to Yes man, I Man.
