1n2 Weekly — one commit, and it was a brightness fix

A genuinely quiet week, honestly reported: the only thing written down was a shelf display that would not stop flashing.

We have a rule in this magazine about not padding, so: this week produced exactly one commit to the repository, and it says that the Tidbyt display should stop strobing its UV and sunset stat.

In defence of the small fix

It is a good commit. Somebody has a little pixel display on a shelf that tells them the UV index and when the sun goes down, one of the numbers was flickering, and now it isn't. That is the whole story, and the reason we like it is that it is the kind of work that only gets done when the person doing it actually lives with the thing. You do not fix a strobe you never see.

Underneath

The archive ingest had its heaviest week of the month, a bit over seven thousand files, and the media and ticket-catalogue jobs ran clean. The local hub picked up a handful of edits. None of it is a story.

A quiet week is not a failure, and we would rather file four honest paragraphs than invent a fifth. The machines ran, one annoyance got fixed, the shelf display stopped blinking.
