Caesars Palace, opened 1966 by Jay Sarno, is the original Roman-themed property and the namesake of Caesars Entertainment. It is also the property whose bankruptcy reorganization (2015–2017) spun out VICI Properties — without Caesars Palace's distress, the entire Strip REIT structure as we know it might not exist.
